Registering your Reciva-based radio at the Reciva site

First a reminder - this only works with Reciva-based radios. If your radio uses Frontier Silicon (vTuner database) or some other platform then this will not work - it is a completely different system.

Registering your radio is important as it will add additional features to the radio's menu such as My Stations, My Streams, & My Podcasts via the [WWW]My Stuff menu. Additionally you may also have My History, a list of the last 20 stations you've listened to. Registration will also give you access to various 3rd party services such as [WWW]MP3Tunes, [WWW]Aupeo!, [WWW]Pandora, [WWW]Sirius and [WWW]Live365 depending on your radio manufacturer and the firmware on your radio. Please note that some 3rd party services require subscriptions to receive the full functionality offered by their service. See their individual pages for further information.

Your radio's menu will have either a 'Settings' option or a 'Configure' option depending on the firmware. These menu items have merely been renamed between firmware updates and are therefore identical in operation.

The Reciva Radios portal ( https://radios.reciva.com/ )

Registration requires the Registration key from the radio's Configure/Settings menu. The Registration key is obtained by checking on the radio, Settings/Configure - then scroll to Register. You will see a registration key - note this for entering on the login page.

Further details are available on the login page or via the Manage My Radios option once you are logged in.

Please Note:

Registration keys can only be used once. Radios can be registered (and unregistered) to your account multiple times but on each occasion a new registration key must be used. To receive a new registration key you must have fully rebooted your radio since the last time you requested a registration key. If the radio displays a message "getting new key" then you will be given a new key. If the radio displays a key immediately after pressing "register" then the key will be a previous key and will not work when attempting to register the radio. An alternative method of generating a new registration key is to perform a factory reset. Once complete, select Settings, Register and a new key will be requested and subsequently displayed.

Post Registration:

You must have at least one entry already saved in either the My Stations, My Streams or My Podcasts options on the Reciva website before the My Stuff menu will appear on the radio. Therefore, if you haven't already, search for a station of your choice on the Reciva website and select "Add to My Stations".

After you have completed the registration, you should unplug the radio, leave unplugged for a minimum of 10 seconds and then restart your radio for changes to take place. Once rebooted, select the "Internet Radio" menu (sometimes called "Stations" depending on the firmware) and the radio will update its station list and will "update settings" before rebooting itself again.

Occasionally, the registration process may not be successful (if there are problems with the Reciva servers - the solution is to wait a while and repeat the process).
